NSP is Growing!
September 27, 2006
NSP is growing! And we bet you do would not like to anything short of that! Currently, NSP is managed by a Management Committee. However, the popularity of the Society, especially after the successful hosting of SANOG8 event in July/August 2006, it is necessary to equip the body with sufficient structure to sustain the welcome growth.
Apart from the Core Managing Committee, that will keep on steering the Society, NSP will have an Advisory Committee comprising of carefully selected members who hold high technical calibre, profound personal integrity, a clear vision and very good industry reputation. Members of Advisory Committee will serve NSP in an honorary capacity.
To manage various programs and events of NSP, we will now have a Program Committee. The committee will be responsible for the overall event management, sponsorships, logistics and content for the events hosted by NSP. This committee might also, on need-basis, comprise Program Sub-committee(s) that will include people representing NSP events in Lahore, Islamabad, Quetta etc and other parts of Pakistan.
Academic activities are part of the mission statement of NSP. To establish fruitful and effective liason with the acedemic world, we will have an Academia Committee. This will mainly comprise of HOD/Dean of various academia to promote the ICT and technology specific institutions, Universities i.e. NSP-affiliated institutions and NSP-endorsed curriculum.
Finally, NSP believes in less talk and more work. Based on this guiding principle, NSP will have various Tasks Forces dedicated for taking ahead their respective areas forward in Pakistan under the NSP umbrella. Tasks Forces will be created and deconstructed on need-basis. Typically, Tasks Forces will have clear, tangible goals in front of them that they will achieve for the Society.
